FAQ for Global Internet Access

What is Global Internet Access?

A reliable internet connection delivered anywhere in the world — across cities, countries, and continents. At GNX, global internet access means giving enterprises the ability to connect offices, teams, and sites in any location, using the best available local internet service providers. All under one contract, one point of contact, and one monthly invoice. It’s not just “internet everywhere.” It’s the right connectivity (dedicated internet access (DIA), business broadband, cellular, or satellite), tailored to your needs, delivered without the usual complexity.

Which types of Global Internet Access can GNX offer?

At GNX, we offer the following types of services: • Dedicated Internet Access (DIA): Uncontended, high-performance links, with enterprise-grade SLAs. • Business Broadband: Fiber, DSL, or wireless broadband for branch offices. • Mobile Internet (LTE/4G/5G): Ideal for remote or temporary sites, retail, or as backup/diverse line. • LEO Satellite Access: Used often for remote areas where terrestrial/backhaul options are limited, or as a secondary or tertiary line.

How can GNX ensure link diversity?

Our carrier- and technology-neutral approach means we can meet your diversity requirements—whether that’s ISP diversity or full-path redundancy. We deliver reliable, resilient internet services to clients around the world. And with the GNX+ platform, it gets even easier. Customers can select their preferred diversity type when sourcing connectivity, choosing from our global database of 3,000+ ISPs—with diversity built right into the search.

Can you run SD-WAN on an MPLS-only underlay?

Yes, you can. However, to maximize the benefits of SD-WAN, you might want to bring internet-based networks into your WAN strategy as it offers more flexibility and scalability, it is faster to deploy, and it is cheaper than MPLS. You can either choose a hybrid MPLS + Internet approach or an Internet-only WAN. We explain more about this on our blog: https://gnx.net/resources/why-internet-for-your-sd-wan-or-sase-network
